Borsta is a virtual drum and percussion instrument that stands out from its counterparts due to its innovative audio engine, which features a unique brushing functionality capable of simulating strokes with continuous variations in intensity. This distinctive feature enables users to craft remarkably lifelike brushing patterns and rhythms, a task that proves challenging with conventional sample-based instruments.

The built-in sequencer empowers users to precisely define the initiation, evolution, and conclusion of a stroke, including parameters like pressure/speed modulation over time. Moreover, each instrument within Borsta offers a set of meticulously crafted multi-sampled one-shots with advanced choking capabilities.

Presently, the inaugural version of Borsta ships with 18 diverse instruments, each emulated individually by a plug-in instance. While sequences can be played only one at a time, seamless transitions between sequences are achievable through MIDI control, while supplementary one-shot samples can be triggered via standard MIDI tracks.

Noteworthy is the consistent organization and MIDI-mapping across all instruments, facilitating the application of the same sequence across different instruments. For instance, a classic swing pattern will render authentically whether executed on a Frame Drum, Tambourine, or Snare Drum, imparting a seamless transition akin to musicians altering instruments.

Each instrument in Borsta is underpinned by over 400 premium samples meticulously recorded to capture various velocities and round robins.
